Mood – Friday- Happy- Vacation is coming!!!!
WIP - Birthday scarf for a co-worker. Need it done by Monday. Hat for Cindy. And started Amble socks.. although I don’t think I like color. I’ve got my index cards done with the pattern all written out.
What I’m Doing – Getting ready to go on vacation and my DH semi annual Doctors appt. in Seattle. First to Modesto for a softball tournament.. then to Oceanshore, Wa. We will spend a week with my good friend and knitting buddy. Then to the doctor. Pray for my husband if you think of it. I want to go to LYS tonight for Open knitting. I need to look for more PLUM color Galway so I can finish the felted slippers for my DD. (see picture)
What Audio Books I’m Listen To- Since I last posted, I’ve read 4 books and started one that I decided against. Now I’m listening to “Dead Sleep” by Greg Iles and it’s very good.
While we’re at the Cabin last week I listen to "Sudden Prey", "Vanishing Acts", "By A Spider’s Thread" and "In the Company of Cheerful Ladies". All good!
Weather - Considerable cloudiness with occasional rain showers. Winds NNW at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 50%. High today 62F Low 46F

Mood – Wednesday- I wanted to post last week but ran out of time. Boy we’ve been having nice weather. Softball is winding down. Big year end tournaments then to Medesto California for year end tournament. Can’t wait. Then to Oceanshores and lots of knitting with my good friend.
WIP - The Chutes and Ladder socks are almost finished. I hope to post a picture here. I don’t know if I can upload to the 6 SOX ring. I’m starting 2 more birthday scarves. I went to my LYS and got some really nice scarf yarn on sale!!!! Also picked up some kids yarn. I need to steer clear of that place!
What I’m Doing – Bible school/camp at church was a bust for the knitting class. Only 3 girls signed up. But the rest was a success. My darling husband is going to “Willow Creek” in Chicago for a mens retreat… so we're getting him ready to leave. Then I'll be knitting.
What Audio Books I’m Listen To- I’m on Disk 5 of “The Millionaires” read by Tony Goldwyn. Great read. Spy’s ---Secret Service-- $$$$$$. Good.

Mood – Friday – Well summer is gone… boo hoo. August rains have hit. The Fireweed is blooming up to the end.
WIP - I’m still working on my Chutes and Ladder socks. I finished the 2 birthday scarves. I posted pictures. Snoopy’s sweater is done but I didn’t get a picture. I’m almost finished with one of the clogs. I had to take it to my LYS and talk to D. about the pattern. I was working the pattern correct. The top will take the right shape after it is felted. I turned the heel on one of the “Chutes and Ladders” sock. I plan on finishing this weekend. I bid on 2 different batches of yarn through E-Bay and they came in the mail the same day. They are beautiful. One is assorted black… mmmm cashmere, merino, ladders and other black yarns to make up 1#. The other batch was purples.. also yummy. I better contain myself …my stash is toooooo big.
What I’m Doing – Next week is vacation Bible school/camp at church in the evenings. I’m co-teaching a knitting class for 8 - 12 year olds. It will be fun. We are going to make our own needles also. I’ve been looking for a good tutorial on line… We will see what happens. They are to bring sz 10 needles and yarn.
What Audio Books I’m Listening To - I finished “Mortal Prey” – was very good. Also listened to “War of Eagles” by Tom Clancy and “Dirty Work” by Stuart Woods while camping. It’s nice to sit by the fire, knit and listen to an audio book. I just finished “Nights of Rain and Stars” by Maeve Binchy and have started “Velocity” by Dean Koontz.

This is the first slipper that I'm going to felt.
Almost done. Need to add top and the second sole.
Not bad for my first FELT project only one more slipper to go.

Mood – TGIF – and the weather is nice. No smoke. Good forecast for the weekend.
WIP - I’m still working on my Chutes and Ladder socks. I had to frog the second sock 2x. What’s up with that? Oh well… I only have 9 days left to finish them and 2 birthday scarves. I will be busy this weekend. We are going to the cabin – usually I just work on items that can be exposed to smoke. Ie: Snoopy’s sweater and clogs but I guess I will wash the socks before I give them to my little friend.
What I’m Doing Today – Tonight is Bunco and then home to pack for the weekend. I have Monday off too. So it will be nice to just relax and go fishing.
What Audio Book I’m Listen To - I’m listening to John’s Sandford’s “Mortal Prey” - just started. I just finished disk 6 of “Nights of Rain and Stars” by Maeve Binchy, but I only brought 2 disk with me to work. It’s going slow. Nice story though… not to intense, lots of characters.
Weather - Warm and clear. Possible showers by the mountains later tonight. Currently 68 High today 70 low 58.
