Mood – It’s Friday - hard to believe that’s it’s almost Feburary. Our weather has been terrible. Snow, snow, snow. Tonight it’s suppose to get really warm and rain.. oh great .. slushy ice skating time.
WIP- I'm working on the “Odessa Hat” w/beads for my DD. I’ve frogged it 3 times and tonight I’ll do it again. Grrr. It’s a great pattern but I’m disappointed in the yarn. I’m also working on a Drop stitch scarf out of “Cherry Hill” yarn. It’s really an easy pattern. And I love the yarn.. it's so very soft. I’m trying to finish my SIL slippers.. I finished one but I hope to finish it this weekend.
What Audio Books I’m Listen To – I just finished "Night Fall” by Nelson DeMille - 5 stars and I’m now listening to “Trunk Music” by Michael Connelly - A Harry Bosch Novel read by Dick Hill. Also very good.

What I'm doing – Gearing down after Christmas.. it's hard to believe this is 2007. God has been good to my family. I will to go knitting tonight and the Guild tomorrow. It’s finally warmed up now is 30 degrees. Its been in the minus for 2 weeks.. I don't know which is worse. Cold or Ice... and we got 24" of snow that is still being hauled away.
What Audio Books I’m Listen to- I'm listening to the bible.. and trying to do that every day.. It's working o.k. sometimes I have to start over. I'm also listening to "Night Fall" by Nelson DeMille. This is Chase modeling his hat. Isn't he cute. He has such rosey cheeks.
Picture #2
This is Chase's hat! I really like this pattern. You use shortrow to shape the ears. This hat fits snuggly on the head.
This is a "none" knitted Christmas project. "Neck warmers". I made them with Polar fleece and flax seed. I'm making them for my friends at work. You heat them in the microwave for 2minute ... then ahhhhhh warmth for your sore neck.
This is the Oven Mitt felted.
This is the 2nd OvenMitt I've made for a Christmas present... it will probabably be the last. I made the thumb knitting waste yarn across 12 stitches and later taking out the waste yarn and knitting the thumb.

This is the "Oven Mitt" after being felted. It turned out just a little large - but it will serve it's purpose!
Monday, December 11, 2006
This is the oven mitt before felting. I put a 3 x 5 Index card as a indicator as to how big this mitt is. Hopefully it will felt up a little or it will be huge. I need to get this done and start another. Both are christmas presents.
Well these are the thumbless mittens I made for Chase. He was wearing them last night at his mom's hockey game. I just made "2 Toes". I k1/p1 ribbing for 1" for the cuff, then I cord all around!

1st and foremost - I love the Lord. I love my famiy very much and have worked at the same place for 45 years. Most of all I love being "NaNa" to my grandsons 10,7, 5, and 2 years. I need my Day planner and calendar (just a plain 3x5 notebook.)
I feel lost without my TO DO list. I've worked since I was 14 years old. I've had a library card since I can remember.
I go to libraries when we're on vacation. I started knitting when I was 5 years old. I like to listen to audio books while I'm knitting. Broccoli is my favorite vegetable.
