This is my WIP scarf....The Safari
Mood - Happy..It’s friday
WIP - I’ve been busy this week. I finished the baby socks. I also started and finished a “Dune Scarf” using the famous “Internet Scarf” pattern. My DH and I went to a conference Friday and Saturday last week and spent my time knitting and let him take notes. I started a “Safari Scarf” for my friend Kim. I called it safari because of the colors. She’s into “safari” things. I started the decreases on the front (or back) of the Fisherman’s sweater- only 52 more rows to go and then I can start the sleeves. I went to my LYS and signed up for a class.. but not enough signed up so the class is postponed for a few weeks.
What I’m Doing Today – It’s Friday……Tan and then pizza. I want to go to my LYS and get 2 more skeins of Galway sports yarn. I’m going to start a hat and scarf for my DD’s birthday.
Weather Let is Snow, Let is Snow, Let it Snow - for the last 2 days. We’ve gotten about 14 inches. This is the first major snow this winter. I’m glad. They were going to cancel the Sled Dog Races… but now there back on! Temp -18… Low 4
This the is "Dune" scarf I made for a friends birthday.Next time I'll buy 2 skeins.... 93 yards = 42 Inches. That's not long enough for me, I think scarfs should be at least 50".
These look pink... but they are Lilac

This is "Snoopy" our granddog - he spent the night earlier this week - Isn't he "Cute".
Mood – I’m in low spirits. Too much sadness this week. Too many friends that are ill. WIP - I’m still working on those baby socks. Almost done. I went to my LYS and signed up for a class that meets on Saturday afternoon. I can’t wait. It’s a 6 week class over 2 months (spring break in the middle). Started a ribbon scarf last night- well really the night before but frogged that one because I didn’t like.
What I’m Doing Today – Work and Worship practice tonight. Although I might go with DH to a BB game after. Finally put Christmas to bed so the house is back in order. It’s been below ZERO all week so we cleaned out the freezer. That wasn’t to bad – re-organized. We still have a lot of salmon, venison, and a little moose to carry us over. Didn’t get to watch “Lost” or “Alias” :-( last night but I recorded and will watch this weekend.
Weather - Brr – Freezing cold. It’s been as low as 20 below this week. It gets up to around 10. At least it’s been sunny - almost warm. Currently –4
High today 7 Low 2. Light snow?
1st and foremost - I love the Lord. I love my famiy very much and have worked at the same place for 45 years. Most of all I love being "NaNa" to my grandsons 10,7, 5, and 2 years. I need my Day planner and calendar (just a plain 3x5 notebook.)
I feel lost without my TO DO list. I've worked since I was 14 years old. I've had a library card since I can remember.
I go to libraries when we're on vacation. I started knitting when I was 5 years old. I like to listen to audio books while I'm knitting. Broccoli is my favorite vegetable.
